Our Team

JOHN DE JAGER was born and raised in Stratford, and moved to Goderich to practise pharmacy upon his graduation from the pharmacy program at University of Toronto. He has been a community pharmacist in Goderich for the last 42 years, and has dedicated his life to providing his customers the highest quality care possible. When not at the pharmacy, John enjoys singing, gardening, canoeing with his daughter, and serving as elder in his church, Calvary Baptist.
LISA DE JAGER was born and raised in Goderich, and was happy to return home to start her teaching career after earning her music degree at UWO in London. After staying home to raise her three children and more than a decade teaching at Huron Christian School, Lisa joined her husband in this new venture and in 2015 became the partner and business manager at De Jager Town Square I.D.A. Pharmacy. Serving her community gives her great satisfaction. When she’s not spoiling her dog silly, she can be found up to her elbows in flour in her kitchen baking sourdough bread.
MEGHAN DE JAGER was born and raised in the Goderich area. Her interests became focused on music at a young age, and she received a Bachelor of Music degree in 2015. Meghan has been working part-time at De Jager Town Square I.D.A. since its opening in 2015. She teaches voice and piano lessons in town and has served as Director of Music at Calvary Baptist Church since 2022. When she’s not at the pharmacy, you can find Meghan doing something music- or church-related, going on walks around town, or cooking up a storm in her apartment.
STEPHEN DE JAGER has lived just north of Goderich his whole life. He has worked at the pharmacy since it opened in 2015. You will often see him driving the “IDA Car” around town on deliveries. Stephen enjoys reading books, watching movies/shows with friends and watching the Leafs (although that often isn’t as enjoyable). Stephen hopes to overcome his inflammatory condition in order to work more hours and continue to serve his church.
SHELLEY received her Pharmacy Assistant training from Humber College, and was eager to return to her Goderich roots upon graduation. With 30 years experience under her belt, she brings a wealth of knowledge to our pharmacy team! In their spare time, she and her hubby enjoy entertaining friends and extended family in their country home. Shelley also loves chain reading books and making plans for her next travel adventure. You will quite often see her on the beautiful roads of Huron County riding her bike or training for her next big race.

STEPHANIE and her son moved to the area from St. Mary’s and joined our staff in 2022 to manage our front shop. In her spare time she enjoys expanding her mind through reading and taking in the solitude of nature on walks. Hers is often the first face you’ll see upon entering the pharmacy.
BRENDA came to work for us in 2020, and although now retired, she makes herself available when we need her. She has her hand on the pulse of all that happens in this town, and will likely know you by name when you come in the store.
KAREN SUTCLIFFE was born and raised on a dairy farm and moved to the Blyth area with her husband in 2009. She joined our staff in 2018 to take care of the general office work and bookkeeping. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going for evening walks, and spending time with her family.
CLARE is the pharmacy’s Student Assistant. She lives in Goderich and attends Grade 11 at St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School. Clare is interested in science and hopes to study Medicine after high school. Outside of school, she enjoys baking, babysitting, playing piano and tennis, and spending time with her friends, family, and pets.
ERNEST DOW joined our pharmacy team in August 2024 after retiring as a pastor (Living Water Christian Fellowship, Blyth then Huron Chapel EMC, Auburn).
